In the realm of medical illnesses, Dr. Solao has managed cases such as septicaemia with multi-organ failure, respiratory failure, poisonings, diabetic emergencies, gastrointestinal bleeds, oncologic emergencies, and strokes. Additionally, she has dealt with surgical illnesses including acute abdomen and trauma.

Within the coronary care unit, Dr. Solao has expertise in managing acute myocardial infarction, acute left ventricular failure, arrhythmias, and tamponade. She has also gained significant experience in post-operative care for bypass patients in the Post CABG unit. Furthermore, she has been involved in managing obstetric emergencies like HELLP syndrome and postpartum hemorrhage.

Over the last decade, Dr. Vaishali Solao has primarily focused on Liver Intensive Care. She played a crucial role in establishing the first Liver Intensive Care Unit in the country. Leading a dedicated team of intensivists specialized in managing liver failure of various etiologies, she has acquired extensive knowledge and expertise in this field. Her experience includes managing acute liver failure, acute-on-chronic liver failure, and facilitating the bridging of patients to liver transplantation. Dr. Solao has also authored multiple chapters on the subject of liver failure, showcasing her in-depth understanding of the topic.
