Dr. Arvinder Singh Soin is the Director Liver
Transplantation at Jaslok Hospital & Research
Centre. He has a vast experience of 30 years in
the eld of Liver Transplant. Dr. Soin is among
the world’s best known transplant surgeons and
an acknowledged pioneer in the eld of liver
transplantation in India for which he was
awarded the Padma Shri in 2010.
His vast experience includes over 3600 liver transplants for adults and children,
which is the highest in the country. He is renowned for pioneering blood
group incompatible liver transplants, swap liver transplants, combined liver
and kidney transplants, robotic liver donor surgery and many rsts in
pediatric liver transplantation in India.
Dr. Soin has also performed more than 15000 other complex liver, gall bladder
and bile duct surgeries.
In having mentored and trained the majority of the liver transplant teams in
the country, he has a huge contribution in establishing liver transplantation in
India over the past 23 years.
