Dr. Deepak Sadarangani is a highly experienced Consultant in the Ophthalmology department. With over 35 years of experience in the field, he has gained expertise in various surgical procedures and has sub-specialized in Intraocular Lens (IOL) Implant Microsurgery, Glaucoma, Corneal Transplant, and related microsurgical techniques.
Throughout his career, Dr. Sadarangani has performed numerous IOL implant cases using different types of surgical microscopes at various hospitals. He is confident and capable of independently handling a wide range of cases, apart from general ophthalmic surgery.
Over the past 15 years, Dr. Sadarangani has developed specialized skills in phacoemulsification surgery for cataracts. He has operated on a diverse range of cataracts using various phaco machines. Notably, he has gained significant surgical experience with the ALCON INFINITY PHACOEMULSIFIER with TORSIONAL PHACO, a newer modality of phacoemulsification. This advanced technique allows for efficient, speedy, and safer treatment of hard and brown cataracts compared to standard phaco machines.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Sadarangani has been actively involved with charitable ophthalmic setups and eye camps. These initiatives aim to provide ophthalmic care to the less privileged sections of society who would otherwise lack access to the latest advancements in ophthalmic microsurgery.
