Dr. Sarita Bhagwat is a highly experienced Paediatric Surgeon with over 28 years of specialization in her field. She is renowned for her expertise in reconstructive surgeries for birth defects such as anorectal malformations (ARMs), hypospadias, epispadias, genital malformations, urinary obstructions present at birth, and more. Additionally, she is skilled in performing single-stage surgery for Hirschsprung's disease. Currently, Dr. Bhagwat serves as a Senior Consultant in Paediatric Surgery at Fortis Hospital, Mulund.

Dr. Sarita completed her MBBS, MS in General Surgery, and MCh in Paediatric Surgery from Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai, which are prestigious institutions in the field of medicine. She further honed her skills through a fellowship program in Paediatric Urology at the renowned Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. Prior to joining Fortis Hospital, she worked at BJ Wadia Hospital for Children in Mumbai for 15 years, gaining vast experience in her field. She specializes in managing challenging and complex congenital malformations diagnosed prenatally, such as diaphragmatic hernia (CDH), congenital pulmonary airway malformations (CPAMs), and fetus-in-fetu (FIF).

Dr. Sarita Bhagwat has contributed to the medical community through her scholarly work. She has written various book chapters and co-edited the book titled 'Re-do Surgery in Children.' Her dedication and contributions to the field of paediatric surgery have earned her recognition, including the Hargobind Foundation fellowship in 2002, which facilitated her advanced training in Paediatric Surgery at Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne, Australia.
