About Me

With 22 years of experience in radiation oncology, I have dedicated 13 years as a full-time radiation oncologist at Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre in Mumbai. Additionally, I served for 9 years as a Consultant Radiation Oncologist at the Indian Cancer Society's Lady Ratan Tata Medical and Research Centre, and gained 2 years of experience as a Senior Resident at Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. My specialization lies in delivering precision radiotherapy, particularly focusing on head and neck, breast, and gynecological malignancies.

Throughout my career, I have successfully planned and executed treatment for nearly 400 cases of IMRT and IGRT, primarily in Head and Neck cancers. I have also contributed as an expert advisor and member of the technical committee for the development of Oncology at Cama and Albless Hospital, a specialized women and children's hospital under the Government of Maharashtra. Additionally, I have been actively involved in teaching and have mentored postgraduate students training in DNB Radiation Oncology as part of the teaching program at Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre.

Currently, I am the principal investigator of an ongoing prospective trial titled "Prevalence of HPV infection in newly diagnosed cases of head and neck malignancies" at P.A. Khan Hospital in Mumbai. I have also authored chapters focusing on the role of radiotherapy in cervical, breast, larynx, and hypopharyngeal malignancies. Moreover, I have actively participated in over 200 national and international meetings and clinical symposia in various capacities.

My expertise lies in precision radiotherapy techniques such as 3DCRT, IMRT, IGRT, SRS, SRT, and SBRT. I have a special interest in the treatment of head and neck cancers, gynecological malignancies, breast cancer, and soft tissue sarcomas. With a unique combination of clinical insight, up-to-date competencies, and experience in developing and running successful radiation oncology departments, I strive to make a difference in the clinical teams and hospitals I work with.
