Dr. Purushottam Vashistha MBBS, MD, DM is a Consultant Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He has over 15 years of experience in his field and has successfully done more than
3000 therapeutic EUS and ERCP.
After completing his primary medical education he pursued DM in Gastroenterology from Banaras Hindu
University, Varanasi. He later did a fellowship in Advanced Endoscopic Interventions and Endoscopic
Ultrasound from the prestigious, Gentofte University in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Dr. Vashistha worked as an assistant professor at Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre during his
tenure and acquired skills in ERCP, EUS and other therapeutic interventions.
His special areas of interest include:
Evaluation and management of various types of liver diseases
Pancreato-biliary disease management like acute pancreatitis or chronic pancreatitis or cancers of the
bile duct and pancreas
Complex therapeutic endoscopic procedures:
-Esophageal, Pyloric, Enteral and colonic stenting
-Endoscopic removal of early cancers and benign tumour, (EMR/ESD)
Endoscopic interventions for obesity management and Metabolic & Bariatric endoscopy
Pancreato-biliary procedures like ERCP & EUS
IBD and IBS management
